Question 1

What information is required in Department Details?

Accepted Answer

Enter the department name, Keystone ID, county, station, mailing address, coverage type, and primary contact. These details identify the department and give the working draft the verified context it needs.

Question 2

What belongs in Incident Data?

Accepted Answer

Provide incident totals and categories, the population served, and a description of the response area. Incident history is required for completion because it gives reviewers the operational context behind the department’s request.

Question 3

What is required in Project Goals?

Accepted Answer

Describe the project type, total project cost, funding request, and why the project is needed. Include the planned start date and end date so the draft can present a clear, reviewable project timeline.

Question 4

What should we include in Supporting Information?

Accepted Answer

Start with a clear project-need statement and add one or two concrete supporting details. You may also include relevant training or equipment context, helpful contacts, and evidence such as vendor quotations, certification scans, or equipment photos.

Question 5

How does the completeness review decide whether a draft is ready to export?

Accepted Answer

The review runs 13 checks: the four intake sections, seven narrative sections, budget line items, and uploaded documents. “Ready to export” means there are zero required findings. Recommendations may remain because they are helpful improvements, not blockers.

Question 6

Which files can we upload, and what is the size limit?

Accepted Answer

Uploaded Files accepts PDF, PNG, and JPG files up to 10 MiB per file. The extension and file type must match during validation. These files can support citations and give your department’s draft stronger source material to review.

Question 7

What does draft version history capture, and how does restore work?

Accepted Answer

Version history stores timestamped, immutable snapshots of the intake and narrative content, including the changed section, source, and a short diff hint. History is shown newest first, with the latest saved snapshot at the top. Restoring replaces the current intake and narrative with the selected snapshot, keeps the existing history available, and returns the restored intake to draft status.

Question 8

Is a Turnout Grants draft the official Pennsylvania Egrants application?

Accepted Answer

No. Turnout Grants creates a Turnout Grants working draft for your department; it is not the official Pennsylvania Egrants system and is not a substitute for current OSFC or Egrants guidance. Your department must confirm eligibility, facts, approvals, deadlines, and the final submission through official channels.

Question 9

What should our department verify before using the draft?

Accepted Answer

Review every required field, narrative, budget line, and uploaded document for accuracy. Your department remains responsible for current program guidance, eligibility, internal approvals, official deadlines, and submitting the final application in Pennsylvania Egrants; a complete working draft does not guarantee eligibility or an award.
